5 Healthy Food for Eyes!!

What is the most beautiful part of your face? 

I guess it's our EYEs,  at-least for me. Since we saw every beautiful thing from our eyes. We need to take care of our eyes as well to  keep  them healthy and  make our sight clear . 

It is  not possible to visit the ophthalmologist every week and using medication may  harm you in a very serious way. So, we  need to  take care of  our eyes in our day to  day life to keep it healthy. 

Here are few tips and food which you can use in your day to  day life to keep your eyes healthy.


You can keep your eyes healthy and  avoid specs and medication by using these simple home tips and healthy food.


Maintaining a well-balanced, healthy diet is key to keeping your eyes healthy, and may help reduce your risk for developing eye conditions. Serious eye conditions may be avoided if you include foods that contain a range of vitamins, nutrients, and minerals, known as antioxidants.


Vitamins A, B, C and D are particularly beneficial for keeping the eyes healthy. You must eat two fruits and lots of green vegetables in a day because essential vitamins and minerals are found in large quantities in it.

If there is a deficiency of Vitamin A in the body, then you will start seeing night blindness and blurred vision, sometimes even a person becomes blind.

Taking sufficient amount of vitamin A keeps the eyesight intact. Let us know which diet should be taken to maintain eyesight.






Fish

Fish can be great food to consume for a healthy eye.


Fish contains omega-3 fatty acids that protect small blood vessels from damage. Try to eat fish twice a week.


Particularly Salmon, it contain Omega-3 fatty acid. These are healthy fats. 
 Omega-3 fatty acids can contribute to visual development and the health of the retina in the back of the eye. They can also help prevent dry eyes.

 Salmon is also a natural source of vitamin D, which may also prove to have eye health benefits.

Spinach greens, cabbage and green leafy vegetables contain carotenoids, a yellowish substance that protects the macula (the area of the retina responsible for central vision).


Leafy green vegetables are rich in both lutein and zeaxanthin and are also a good source of eye-friendly vitamin C.

Spinach are rich in two antioxidants stored in the macula—lutein and zeaxanthin. Lutein and zeaxanthin absorb blue light, which is especially harmful to the retina. These nutrients can also help the eye detect contrast better, so eating foods rich in these antioxidants not only improves vision, but they help maintain your vision long-term.


b)  Kale

Kale is known as a superfood by many because it contains so many important vitamins, nutrients, and minerals. It’s extremely good for eye health. Kale has the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin, also found in eggs and other foods. These nutrients may help to prevent serious eye conditions such as age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. Lutein and zeaxanthin aren’t made in the body, so you have to incorporate them into your diet.




Almonds

Eating nuts provides high vitamin content which keeps cholesterol low and maintains stability in the cellular membrane. Also, it removes vitamin A from the liver to be used for the use of the eyes.


You can enjoy almonds as a snack at any time. They are also tasty in your breakfast cereal, yogurt, or in salads. Just remember to keep an eye on serving size. Almonds are high in calories, so try to limit your intake to one to two servings a day.

Eggs contain amino acids, proteins, sulfur, lectins, lutein, cysteine and vitamin B2. Vitamin B is important for cell function.

Eggs are extremely versatile and can work for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A simple way to enjoy eggs is by hard-boiling them.







Carrot


5. Carrot 

Green, red, yellow and orange vegetables and fruits are good nutrition and contain vitamins C and A, which are antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the eyes.


Carrots are rich in both Vitamin A and beta carotene. Beta carotene gives carrots their orange color.


Vitamin A and beta carotene help the surface of the eye and can also help prevent eye infections and other serious eye conditions.

Carrots are easy to eat on the go. Julianne whole carrots or keep a bag of baby carrots handy for an afternoon or evening snack. 


Few more things you can do apart form eating healthy things for your eyes to keep them healthy.

1. Wash your  eyes with clean water on a regular basis.
2. Use specs while working on digital devices like PC, Laptop and tablets.
3. Take good care of your eyes from dust and smog.
4. Keep the  lights in proper mode while working so that it will not affect your eye.
